Employment Preparation Program

When you register with Advance Personnel as a job seeker, our staff will work with you to:

• Develop an Individual Employment Plan to identify goals that will assist you to find a job
• Assist you to access external training
• Participate in work experience and job trials
• Assist you to find out what are realistic job options for you

Job Search Program

When you are ready to enter employment, our staff will assist you to locate a job through preparing job applications, attending interviews and seeking employment opportunities.

Advance Personnel primarily negotiates award wage employment in a wide range of industries.

Employment Support

Advance Personnel staff provides on-the-job training and/or advisory support to you and your workplace when you start a new job. The level and type of assistance is different for everyone. The purpose of providing job training is to make sure that you:

• Are introduced to your new workplace and understand the duties of the job
• Are able to learn and complete the required job tasks within a reasonable time frame
• Understand your responsibilities and entitlements as well as the employer's role

Advance Personnel also provides regular support to make sure you continue to meet the requirements of the job. Employment support may include the following:

• Contact and communication with you and your workplace supervisor
• Providing assistance when you need to learn new duties
• Discussing your progress and/or issues about your job
• Providing assistance to resolve any job performance issues
• Providing information and advice to your supervisor about employment support
• Providing disability awareness guidance to your co-workers

The goal of employment support is to assist you to become as independent as possible and to maintain your job.
